We came from Iraq, we want to go to Georgia. But instead of the also very charming direct route through the Hakkari province and along Lake Van we take a more than 1000 kilometers long detour and all this only because of Cappadocia. Apparently, this Cappadocia must be really the hit. So much so that we spend more than a week in this region and dedicate a separate Postcast episode to it, in which we report not only on the bizarre rock formations, beautiful green valleys, climbing around in multi-storey cave dwellings and the narrow tunnels of cities dug deep into the ground. We also have once again our history expert David as a guest, who explains why people here have built entire cities underground and what special role the pigeons have always played for the people here.
