And here comes the second part of our double episode about the Xi’an–Leshan section. It begins with our entry into Sichuan Province and a pretty royal campsite above a loop of the Jialing River. One day later, for the first time since the Pamirs, we don’t camp alone and then also cycle together with other fellow cyclists, Béné and Willy. Finally, we reach Chengdu, the largest Chinese city on our route, and once again China shows that cycling in megacities can actually be a lot of fun. Finally, we report from Leshan about our visa extension and also provide some general information about the Chinese visa. At the same time, we once again have to deal with a few mechanical bike problems.
