FAQ: Our “PR”
3.24 Tunnels per Kilometer
Published on 13.08.2022, 17:07 in Žabljak, Montenegro
This report’s podcast is only available in german: 3,24 Tunnel pro Kilometer.
We leave the 38 °C hot Mostar and gain altitude as quickly as possible to get back to cooler regions. We cross the spectacular gorges of the rivers Sutjeska, Drina and Piva, cross the highest pass of the tour so far at the Durmitor massif and it actually gets cooler, but also wetter: Rain is not uncommon here, even in summer, and on the bicycle, of course, we get to feel it firsthand once again. Nevertheless: Especially the Piva Canyon – already located in Montenegro – with its 68 tunnels on 21 kilometers is worth every single effort! In this episode, we report on strenuous, steep ascents, scenic highlights, solving weather and drone problems, and also who these partisans are, for whom concrete monuments have been erected all over Yugoslavia.
We always appreciate your critisism, praise and other suggestions or hints and invite you to send us them via hi@zweiradlertouren.de!
We are going to get on our bicycles once again and further collect kilometers :-)
See you again soon!
