Marsupials
Attack of the Killer Magpie
Published on 10.11.2025, 13:40 in Kangaroo Creek, Australia
This report’s podcast is only available in german:
Angriff des Killer-Flötenkrähenstars.
After the Outback we return to the vicinity of the east coast. We follow various more and also less family-friendly rail trails, and thanks to several fantastic Warmshowers hosts in the Brisbane area, we can finally sleep in a bed again after 40 consecutive nights in a tent, while also having a chance to talk a little more deeply with Australians about their country. We swim in the ocean for the first time in Australia and ride for miles (at low tide) along a stunning beach. We also experience what appear to be, and are actually, attacks from various birds and discuss what is so special about the marsupial fauna.

We are going to get on our bicycles once again and further collect kilometers :-)
See you again soon!
