Our swift tour of the Indonesian islands begins in Batam – and our hosts Rudy and Juni provide the best possible start to the new country. In their villa, we can recharge our batteries for a project that’s giving us some trepidation: the infamous Pelni ferry, which will take us to Java. We’ll then cross Java from west to east, and here we’ll try something new: We’ll split up, with Belinda climbing mountains and Tizian cycling solo for a week. In Yogyakarta, we’ll meet up again at Kun and Alex’s house – from here, we’ll continue cycling east together. And, as always, we’ll report on all of this in this podcast episode!
