The Hisar Range: Uzbekistan’s Last Hurdle
Published on 04.05.2024, 09:04 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan
This report’s podcast is only available in german: Das Hisargebirge: Unser Rausschmeißer aus Usbekistan.
After a month in Uzbekistan, only the Hisar Mountain Range separates us from the Tajik border. We try to cross the mountains on paths that we could only identify on satellite images. For two and a half days, these paths took us to remote mountain villages and through natural river valleys. However, the paths are primarily cow paths that cause our bikes and us more frustration than joy. Finally we overcome the last hurdle – a narrow canyon that we have to cross in the bare riverbed – and the asphalt is back! One would think. Because the final bummer is still ahead of us here.
We always appreciate your critisism, praise and other suggestions or hints and invite you to send us them via hi@zweiradlertouren.de!
We are going to get on our bicycles once again and further collect kilometers :-)
See you again soon!
